Concealed Carry Permit Classes

 

RealWorld Firearms Training offers several CCW course options for your convienance. Each class is taught by former law enforcement, military, certifiend NRA instructors, and protection operations agents, bringing you years of weapons handling experience. We also utilize a Laser Shot Training System in all of our classroom course.

 

Note: Cost of all CCW courses do not include AZ DPS Permit processing fee of $60, which is submitted by applicant upon completion of course directly to DPS.

 

All students will receive pertinent law information packet and Certificate of Completion.  CCW  form packet is issued and on-site fingerprinting option on two DPS cards is available for additional $20 fee.

Concealed Carry Permit Course Standard 4 hour classroom Package

 

Our professionally-taught four-hour classroom course takes an in-depth look at Arizona's laws relating to the carrying and use of a deadly weapon or firearm, and develops within the student the knowledge and attitude necessary to undertake the enormous responsibility that comes with carrying a concealed firearm in public.

 

Several topics covered are: legal justification for use of deadly force, what the law requires for "self-defense", what does the "castle doctrine" really mean, and what to do when encountered by law enforcement.

 

Topics covered include: Safe gun handling, weapon selection, firearm nomenclature and manipulation, ammunition options and applications, storage & maintenance, fundamentals of pistol shooting including, grip options, stance options, sighting fundamentals, and trigger control.

 

Each student will practice firearms handing drills with our state-of-the-art LASER Shot Training Software System. You will receive instant feedback on shot placement and see where the shots hit the full-sized  target.

 

This training includes realistic shot sounds and laser replica Glock handgun and is an excellent way to work on shooting fundamentals.

Handgun safety and CCW Permit 4 hour course

 

The course  includes time on a private outdoor range, where each person gets two printed targets and two hours of shooting time. Certified instructors lead students on firearms safety and familiarization, as well as Arizona laws regarding concealed carry and the use of a firearm. Additional covered topics include the legal justification for the use of deadly force.

Weapon: Your own double-action revolver or single action/double-action semi-auto pistol, any caliber.

Premium Package

8 Hour Concealed Carry Course

 

With the Premium Package, every client gets the same 4 hour law review and firearms handling drills with our LASER Shot Training Software System, as the Standard package. In this comprehensive class, your instructor will take the time to make sure that you feel comfortable with a firearm that you're likely to carry  concealed, and give you the opportunity to get sufficient 'trigger time' to gauge your proficiency and correct any potential issues early on.

 

This course addresses various techniques for carrying a handgun concealed. The next 4 hour live-fire range time, will guide you through the basics of utilizing your firearm under stress conditions and what to do if you are involved in a shooting - post shooting trauma, mind set and personal awareness.

 

Areas covered include: Concealed carry holsters and options, drawing from concealed carry, ammunition selection, stance, trigger control, realistic ranges. Course includes an introduction to firearms retention techniques, close-quarter shooting, per-fight and post-fight issues.

 

Several live fire exercises include: shooting behind cover, various shooting positions, magazine changes, malfunction drills, and shooting while moving.

 

As with all of our civilian firearms programs, the concealed weapons permit class is taught by former law enforcement officers, certified NRA instructors, and RSO's.
